Signal Analysis Research
Prof. Sri Krishnan and his PhD students, Binh Nguyen and Sammy Abdou, who are visiting AUT from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada, share their insights into signal analysis research.
Prof. Sridhar (Sri) Krishnan holds a B.E. from Anna University and M.Sc./Ph.D. degrees from the University of Calgary. Currently a Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, he has held leadership roles, including Chair of the ECB Department and Associate Dean. Former Canada Research Chair in Biomedical Signal Analysis, Dr. Krishnan's impactful research focuses on adaptive signal analysis in biomedicine, multimedia and biometrics, resulting in 400+ publications and 16 patents.
Binh Nguyen obtained his B.Eng degree in Biomedical Engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada, in 2019. Currently pursuing a Ph.D., Binh specialises in affective computing. His research involves utilising data analytics, signal processing, and machine learning for the analysis of passive and active data within the context of mental health.
Sammy Abdou holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with Honours in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ryerson University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, focusing his research on hardware biomedical instrumentation, physiological data acquisition, wearable design, and TinyML.
Seminar organised by IEEE NZ North Section and the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (IBTec), Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
